Sometimes you need to make a campaign that shares similar features and information to an existing one. Rather than going through nearly identical campaign setups, you can simply clone an existing campaign and make the necessary edits from there.
A cloned campaign will have all of the same information that the original campaign contains, the only difference will be the (copy) note added to the campaign title and the different Campaign ID. Note that because the cloned campaign will be identical to the original, it is automatically paused to prevent duplicate campaigns from running.
The directions below walk you through how to clone an existing campaign.
Clone a Campaign
The first thing you need to do is find the campaign that you want to create a clone of, which means finding the advertiser that is running the campaign.
Navigate to the Advertisers option in the left side menu.
This opens the Advertisers page in Broadstreet. Here you can see a list of all your advertisers within your network. Locate the advertiser whose campaign you need to clone and click on the advertiser name.
The page for the individual advertiser opens. There’s a section specifically for Campaigns. Click the extended menu icon to the right of the campaign name you want to create a copy of and click Clone
Identify Cloned Campaigns
Campaigns that have been made as a copy can easily be identified by their title. On an advertiser’s page, cloned campaigns will have (copy) added to the end of the ad title. Cloned campaigns will also automatically have a status of Paused to prevent automatic running of duplicate campaigns.
For information on paused campaigns and reactivating a campaign, see the documentation here.
Edit Cloned Campaigns
Once created, any aspect of a cloned campaign can be edited just like any normal campaign. For more details on updating and editing campaigns, see the documentation here.
